Our work

Examples of every style

One piece for each style we tattoo — so a style is something you can look at, not a word you have to imagine.

None of these is a template. They are directions we work in, and yours would be drawn around your own story.

What you asked to see

Fine line luna moth tattoo across a collarbone, with a crescent moon, stars and delicate dotted trails

Fine line

Clean, deliberate linework with very little shading — the detail is carried by the line itself. It suits smaller, precise pieces and delicate placements: botanicals, script, constellations, anything that should read as quiet rather than bold. Spacing matters more than density here, so a design is drawn to stay legible as it settles.

Blackwork half sleeve in solid black, built from arcing petal shapes and negative-space linework

Blackwork

Solid black shapes, pattern and negative space, where the skin left bare does as much of the work as the ink. It holds its contrast as it ages, which makes it a strong choice for larger pieces and for reworking old ink. Designs are built to read from across a room as well as up close.

Botanical tattoo running down the ribs, orchids and leafy branches in fine black shading, flowing from underarm to hip

Botanical and floral

Flowers, leaves, stems and seed heads, drawn from the plant rather than from a template. These are laid out to follow the body — around a ribcage, down a forearm, along a spine — so the direction of growth suits your own shape. Often paired with fine line or soft black shading, depending on how bold you want it to sit.

Dark illustrative back piece: a raven perched in a gothic arched window beneath a crescent moon, framed by trailing ivy

Dark illustrative

Drawn imagery with a narrative to it — moody, storybook, a little gothic. Ravens and arched windows, moths and moons, ivy and old architecture, rendered with real depth of shading rather than as flat graphics. It suits someone who wants a scene on their skin rather than a symbol.

Ornamental spine tattoo, symmetrical filigree and lotus motifs running from the nape to mid-back with fine dotwork and a small amber gem

Ornamental

Decorative linework built on symmetry and repetition: filigree, mandalas, lace and dotwork, sometimes a single stone at the centre. It is designed around placement first — the spine, the sternum, the back of an arm — so the pattern follows the line of the body it sits on instead of fighting it.

Custom storytelling thigh piece: an antique compass and ornate key wound through wildflowers and trailing leaves, with constellation dotwork

Custom storytelling

A piece built from your own references: objects that matter, places you have been, dates, handwriting, the things you would struggle to explain quickly. At the consultation we work out which parts carry the meaning and which are only detail, then draw a composition that holds them together without becoming a collage.
